York County Contact Guidance

For an emergency, call 911. For a real York County custody, booking, records, or court question, use the official office that controls the information. The contacts below are public-agency routes, not a substitute for a direct response from that agency.

This Site Cannot Process Records

Important: York County Busted Mugshots is not a government office. We cannot confirm a person’s custody or release, obtain a booking record, pull a court file, accept a report, or provide legal advice. For an active emergency or an immediate safety threat, call 911.

Use the county and court contacts below for official answers. A web result may be delayed, shared with another county, incomplete, or no longer current, so the responsible custodian is the right place to resolve a specific question.

Custody and Booking Questions

York County Corrections is the practical starting point for a current custody question. Its facility operates 24 hours a day and is the county’s stated route for jail matters. Ask staff which information they can lawfully confirm and whether a person may have been transferred.

For Sheriff-created records, rural-area law-enforcement matters, or to confirm the current records contact, use the York County Sheriff’s Department.

York, NE 68467

Court and Case Follow-Up

For a case after booking, use the official Nebraska Judicial Branch Case Information eServices route. It is separate from a jail roster and is the appropriate source for case events and later court outcomes. Court office hours listed by the county are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

  • York County Court: (402) 362-4925 ext. 1
  • York District Court Clerk: (402) 362-4038 ext. 2

Neither a booking charge nor a news account decides a case. Court staff can explain their office’s process, while an attorney can advise a person about legal rights or a particular matter.

Public Records and State Custody

A request for an existing county record should be specific and directed to the agency custodian. Nebraska’s public-records framework begins at Neb. Rev. Stat. § 84-712.01; the custodian may need to evaluate exemptions. York County has not published a dedicated booking-photo request form, fixed fee, or guaranteed response time, so call the Sheriff or Corrections first to identify the right office.

For someone in sentenced state custody rather than ordinary county jail custody, use the official Nebraska Department of Correctional Services inmate search. NDCS records and York County booking records are different systems, so one does not replace the other.
